Navidad, época de alegría y paz, de buenos porpósitos y esperanza de un mundo mejor. Una época que me gusta tanto, que no dejo de adelantarme a su llegada cada año un poco más, aunque este por un buen motivo.

Intentando alejarme un poco de la Mamá Noel tradicional y con la ayuda e ideas de una pequeña y revoltosa elfa llamada Rockitty, he diseñado esta nueva muñeca, que espero os inspire los mejores deseos en esta época festiva (que no está tan lejos) y os traiga la mejor de las suertes para el nuevo año 2015, que está a la vuelta de la esquina.

Christmas, the season of joy and peace, of good resolutions and hope for a better world. A time I am so fond of, that I keep anticipating it even more each year. This one for a very good reason, though.

Trying to deviate from the traditional Mother Christmas pattern and with the help and ideas of a little naughty elf called Rockitty, I designed this new doll, which I hope inspires you all the best wishes for the holiday Season (which is not so far) and brings you the best of luck for the New Year 2015 which is around the corner.

It's been a while since I last posted a thing, but I stole sometime from myself to show you this Kitty which I have given away tor a very special friend.

She is made with 100% wool felt, cotton fabric for the dress and a little embroidery and ribbon here and there.

The pattern is from "Ginger Melon", and it was given to me by a very generous person named Isa. Thank you!!!

I encourage you to buy patterns from this girl, because making this cat was pretty addictive!

Ya era hora de que una loca de los gatos como yo hiciera por fin su versión de gatita de tela hecha a mano. Toda su cara es bordada a mano y está rellena de polyfill hipoalergénico. Para ser la primera que hago, a mí me encanta cómo ha quedado aunque ha llevado su tiempo... ¿Qué os parece a vosotros? Dentro de poco os presentaré a su noviete jejeje.

It was about time that a crazy cat Lady like me had her own version of a handmade cloth kitty. Her entire face has been hand embroidered and she is stuffed with hypoallergenic polyfill. I love the final result, even more because she is the first kitty I have ever made (I think). Though she has taken a loooong time...

Little Valentina - Little Valentine

¡FELIZ DÍA DE SAN VALENTÍN!

Pero, ¿Alguien sabe realmente la historia de San Valentín?

Cuenta la leyenda que Valentín era un cura que ejercía en Roma en tiempos de Claudio II. Este emperador, prohibió que los chicos jóvenes se casaran, para que los soldados no tuvieran ataduras.

San Valentín, el cura, que estaba en contra, empezó a celebrar matrimonios a escondidas y Claudio ordenó que lo encerrasen. Además de eso, la persona que le iba a encerrar, Asterius, quiso hacer mofa de él, y le retó a que le devolviese la vista a su hija ciega, y Valentín hizo que viera.

Aún así, Claudio hizo que lo martirizaran y ejecutaran el 14 de Febrero de 270. La chica que estaba tan agradecida por poder ver, puso un ramo de flores en su tumba como símbolo de amor y amistad eternos.

No sé si esta leyenda es verdad o no, ya que he leído muchas historias sobre Valentín, pero esta es muy guapa y triste a la vez.

But... Who knows Saint valentine's true story?

Legend has it that he was a priest that governed Rome in times of Claudius II. This emperor prevented young men from getting married because he thought they were better soldiers at war if they didn't have any ties. Appart from that, the person who was going to lock him down, Asterius, wanted to mock him, so he challenged him to cure his daughter who was blind by birth. Valentine gave her her sight back and Asterius was so shocked that all his family members became Christians.

Nevertheless, Claudius ordered that he was tortured and executed on the 14th of February 270. The girl was so grateful that she put a bunch of flowers on his gravestone as a symbol of eternal love and friendship.

I don't know whether the legent is true or not, as I have read many different stories about Valentine, but this one is beautiful and sad at the same time.

Since I have sort of a bad memory, I don't remember whether I showed you this cat-bag that I sent Rocky a long time go in one of our swaps. I made it after the summer, when I went to sewing classes, but I didn't take notes, so I hardly rememberd anything and I had to make it relying on intuition.
